VLC Partners with PLL Academy to Offer Three Clinics

VLC is proud to announce to announce our partnership with PLL Academy (“PLL”) resulting in VLC hosting three PLL clinics on February 24, 2019. VLC will be hosting the following clinicians:

1. Offensive Training with Jules Heningburg
WHAT
Separate 90-minute training sessions for Youth and HS focusing on shooting, dodging, agility training, passing, man-up scenarios, communication, and lacrosse IQ development.

WHO
Jules is a Tewaaraton semifinalist who is now a part of the Premier Lacrosse League. He is a NCAA 2nd Team All-American, and Big Ten 1st Team All-American while at an attackman at Rutgers.

MISCELLANEOUS
1. The GPS address is 4605 Rapidan River Road, Fairfax, VA. We highly recommend you enter the West Campus via Braddock Road. Do not enter from University Boulevard – that entrance is often locked.
2. Field 3 is a turf field encircled with a fence. It is to the right of the Softball Field, and to the left of the Pavilion.
3. There is ample parking along Rapidan River Road. There is also a parking lot parallel to Campus Drive.
4. There is a mens restroom and womens restroom next to vending machines on the side of the Pavilion to the right of Field 3 as well as a Family Restroom underneath the Pavilion.
5. To maximize the experience for the participants, parents are prohibited from entering the turf field. Parents are welcome to watch from either the grandstands or any location on the outside of the fence.

2. DEFENSIVE TRAINING WITH MATT LANDIS
WHAT
Separate 90-minute training sessions for Youth and HS focusing on stick work, defending from all areas of the field, defending the two-man game, off-ball play, communication and clearing, body positioning, speed and agility training, and shooting.

WHO
Matt is an MLL All-Star who is now part of the Premier Lacrosse League. He is a 2-time NCAA Defensemen of the Year, 2-time NCAA All-American and 3-time All Big East Conference while at Notre Dame University.

3. GOALIE INSTRUCTION WITH SCOTTY RODGERS
WHAT
Separate 90-minute training sessions for Youth and HS focusing on stopping, communication, clearing, agility, hand-eye coordination, and goalie-specific athletic training.

WHO
Scotty is an MLL champion and All-Star Game MVP who is now part of the Premier Lacrosse League. He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2010 NCAA D1 Championship Game, and was a 2-time NCAA All-American at Notre Dame University.
