VLC is proud to announce three additions to the VLC Spring 2018 coaching staff. We would also like to thank VLC 2023 Assistant Coach Scott Lemen, who will be taking a leave because of work commitments.

Gary Boylan. VLC 2024 Assistant Coach.
Gary is currently a Varsity Assistant Lacrosse Coach at Paul VI Catholic HS where he focuses on the offense, goalies and face off specialists. He has coached at PVI for 10 years, and assisted the Varsity Lacrosse program to a Top 25 National Ranking as well as multiple WCAC and VISAA championship appearances. Prior to PVI, he served as a Varsity Assistant Lacrosse Coach at Chantilly HS. While at Chantilly, the school had a 20 win season, and consecutive District, Regional and State Championship appearances. Gary is currently a real estate agent with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty.

Andrew Hyland. VLC 2024 Assistant Coach
Andrew was a goalie for Division II Queens University of Charlotte (NC), but medically retired his junior year due to concussions. In additional to coaching with Team 24/7 for two years, Andrew served as a student assistant coach for Queens, helping their goalie achieve All-American Honorable Mention honors, as well as the team earning their first conference championship and NCAA berth. Before Queens, Andrew played at Fairfield Prep (CT), where he played on two state championship teams. Andrew is currently a Sales Manager for Continental Tire.

James Wyrick II. VLC 2023 and 2024 Assistant Coach
James joins VLC after his recent graduation from High Point University. James was a Captain and defenseman for High Point following his transfer from Syracuse University, where he played lacrosse for two years. Prior to Syracuse, James attended St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School (SSSAS), where he won three VISAA state championships as well as the school’s first IAC tournament championship. James is currently a Varsity Lacrosse Assistant Coach at SSSAS, focusing on defense.
