12 Days of VLC, Day 10: Embrace Mistakes by Coach Gary Boylan (VLC 2024 AC, played at Wheeling Jesuit).

Working on your craft is essential to your growth as a lacrosse player. Acquiring new skills and enhancing them is a process, and part of that process includes failure. When you are working on a new skill, you will make mistakes. Your mistake could even result in an opponent’s goal. You cannot be afraid to make mistakes. New techniques and skills are only effective when they become second nature. The only way your skills will become second nature is through maximum reps on and off the game field. Instead of dreading failure, embrace your mistakes as tools that will sharpen and expand your lacrosse game.
